The medium of instruction in the school is Tamil. An effort is being made to introduce English to the children. Under the guidance of the Headmistress, the teachers undertake a monthly assessment in English and Mathematics. Worksheets are distributed to all the children and their progress is monitored. 

English assessment sheets include simple exercises to identify nouns, verbs, fill in the blanks and match the following. Similarly, for mathematics, basic exercises in addition and subtraction are made interesting through pictorial diagrams and puzzles. Children find these worksheets very interesting. 

This initiative has greatly helped the children to build their confidence in this skill set.
