On 23rd June Sath Sangh was inaugurated in our school by Pravrajika YathindraPrana of Sri Sarada Math, Chennai. Students of Std.IX and XI were the audience. She spoke to them about the importance of chanting Gayatri Mantra which improves the memory.

She then asked the students to tell the meaning of ‘discipline’. One student said ‘Obedience’ another said ‘hard work’ and so on. She advised the students to study their lessons daily and not to do eleventh hour preparation.

The meaning of Brahmachariam is student life, the students were reinforced with the idea that they should enter school as students and leave it as students. She asked the students to mention the five sense organs and added that they should be used for seeing good things, hearing good things, speaking good things.

She exhorted the students of Std X and Std XII to strive to produce better results in the public examination next year than the students of 2014 – 15.

She also advised them, each and everyone should realise one’s own strength or capacity and not to waste most of the time. She concluded her inspiring and thought provoking speech by quoting these words, ‘our thoughts play a vital role in deciding our future’. The sathsang ended with school Mangalam.
