LIFE SKILL PROGRAMMEOn 12th June 2015, there was a Life Skill Programme in our school by Smt.Usha Ramakrishnan. She is an old student of our school.
It was a welcome change to see the transformation of the school girl Usha Moorthy into the Life Skill Lecturer. She gave a wonderful power point presentation.
She believes each day is a gift from God and we should make the best use of it. Showing the still of a lion and pigs, she asked the students to interpret it. Thus began the interaction. She kept the students active by asking them to clap thrice shouting "Hey,Hey".
Through interesting cinema clippings portraying Actress Manorama, who received the National Award, Smt.Usha brought home to the students the concept, "I Can".
The cartoon of a little boy, who broke a flower vase and threw it silently into the dustbin highlighted the importance of telling the truth. The boy's sister blackmailed that she would tell mother about it and made him do errands for her. At last the boy told the truth to his mother and felt relieved.
The incident of a boy who became a Software Engineer despite losing his legs and that of another boy who sold iddlies and studied and become the owner of a food court after graduation, proved that neither handicap nor poverty is a barrier for achievement.
In short, it was a very interesting interactive session.
