The inauguration of English Literary Association was held on 1^st July 2015 at 2.00 pm in our school premises. All the students of Std XI assembled here. Dr.Lakshmi Balaji, Vice President as well as the Head of the Department of English in Dr.M.G.R.Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women presided over the function.

The function began with prayer. Welcome speech was delivered by a student. Our respected Headmistress Tmt.R.Meena honoured the chief guest. Our student read the report of the year 2014 – 15.

The honourable Chief Guest addressed the students with her inspiring and motivating speech. She emphasized the need of English Literary Association session where the students get chances to express their views or ideas in English without any hesitation. She also advised them to face the challenges boldly and how to overcome them in life by way of telling a story of an eagle which always fly high. She told them to aim high forscoring high marks in the Board examinations. She concluded her speech by insisting the students to read good English books to develop their communicative English. It was an interesting session. One of the students proposed Vote of Thanks. The function ended with School Mangalam.
